How the Referral Process Works

  1. Complete the Referral Form
Referrals are initiated by completing the appropriate county or state referral form used for domestic violence–related services. This form documents the referral and provides Alabaster with the information needed to follow up safely and appropriately.

  2. Submit the Referral to The Alabaster House
Once completed, the referral form is submitted directly to The Alabaster House using the instructions provided on the form or via the submission method indicated below.

  3. Review & Follow-Up
Upon receipt, Alabaster reviews the referral and makes contact, when appropriate, to assess needs, explain available resources, and coordinate next steps.

Submission of a referral does not guarantee placement or services, but it initiates a structured review process focused on safety, consent, and available capacity.

Referral Forms

Referrals typically require a county- or state-issued domestic violence referral form, which may be used by courts, law enforcement, and service providers to document and authorize referrals.

Important note:
Referral form requirements may vary by jurisdiction. In many cases, these forms are issued or recognized by local government or law enforcement agencies (such as county departments, courts, or sheriff-associated systems).

If you are unsure which form to use, or if your organization operates under a specific referral protocol, please contact The Alabaster House directly for guidance.

Confidentiality & Safety

The Alabaster House prioritizes survivor safety, dignity, and confidentiality. All referrals are handled with care and reviewed in alignment with applicable laws, consent requirements, and best practices for trauma-informed support.

If you believe someone is in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services before submitting a referral.
